- Grace Hunter Powell was born on April 24, 1917, the eighth of twelve children. After a childhood on a Pennsylvania farm, she taught school, raised five children, and built, sewed, molded, painted, polished, melted, and formed just about anything you can think of. Grace is a remarkable cook and baker. She's travelled extensively throughout the United States and ventured outside her home country a few times, too, but loves her Rocky Hill in California where she lives in her own snug home. She was always athletic and competitive, strong and fast. Her youngest daughter, Polly, has come to live with her and be her conduit to the internet. (Grace plus Polly equals Grolly.)
